@Phao - I can't say what the stats should be for all four kinds. Having between 40 - 60% of your public posts be @replies indicates that you are conversing with folks, not just blasting out your own content.

Hope that helps.

I wonder why the stat of reply post should be between 40% and 60%?
Can you tell me the stat of all 4 kinds of tweet that is the best.

@Kaye - Thanks! Glad you stopped by!

By the way, I love your use of Thesis - very dignified.

Thanks for the great info. I'm going to take the plunge and try tweetdeck thanks to another posting of yours. I was looking at that, spotted this article and enjoyed it as well. I absolutely LOVE the pix of the ostrich :)

@Happysurfer - Of course you like the Karma part - you're a surfer! I'm a Buddhist and have often deepened my understanding of Buddhism through "ocean" analogies.

@Frank - Thanks for stopping by again! "...real trick is to find out what you offer that is valuable to others..." That, Frank, is my biggest challenge.

Nice summary John ...

I'm diggin' your last point: "Try different combinations and don’t be afraid to screw up. There are no rules on Twitter, just people."

I'd add that the types of things you post and what type of posts you use on Twitter have some dependence on the 'followers' that you are serving. Your followers are there for a reason - understanding that is key to what you offer.

Maybe the real trick is to find out what you offer that is valuable to others and get good at pushing that out - tricky though, huh?!
