Grant Griffiths Shoots Dorothy, Sells Toto On Ebay

As your non-profit starts using Web 2.0 tools, you will find other non-profits working on the same social issues.  And as you seek to support these folks, they will want to support your efforts in return – and Shazam, a partnership develops!

One social media tool that nurtures partnerships is the “guest post”:

I share similar ideas about how to use social media with fellow blogger (and downright awesome dude), Grant Griffiths, who runs G2 Web Media in Clay Center, Kansas.

As we got to know each other, he invited me to write a guest post for his blog.  Now, before you read said post, let me share the three things that I really like about Grant:

  1. He believes that a blog is a “communication tool which you can use to build a relationship with your target audience, turn them into regular readers and then into life-long consumers of your goods or services.”
  2. He runs the business with his son, Clay.  Together – they value their clients as if they were his own family.
  3. His final thoughts just before I wrote this introduction was:  “Just please don’t use any reference to the wizard of oz. OMG.  We were in NM one time and a guy at a taco place ask me how Dorothy was doing and I told the guy I shot her.  Got the biggest laugh.  Stupid Wizard of Oz.”

  • @Michael - You're right about that. I have the pleasure of working on a "top secret" project with him.
  • Grant is indeed an all-around awesome dude. Awesome headline on this post. :)
