How To Get Your Non-Profit’s Blog To Rank Higher In Google

A few weeks ago I discussed why non-profits have a better chance at ranking higher on google with a blog. Because I needed to keep the video short (this keeps you happy, right?), I put off the “how to” part of  blog search engine optimization (SEO) for another time.

This was a smart decision for two reasons:

  1. That post would have been extremely uninformed, compared to what I now know about WordPress SEO.
  2. My Grandchildren would refer to that post as the single reason for admitting me to a nursing home.

In the meantime, Michael Martine, who does blog consulting for me, gave me a beta copy of WordPress SEO Secrets to “test out” before it went on sale.

SEO that’s very easy to follow – and implement

I found WordPress SEO Secrets filled with easy to understand, step by step instructions on how to optimize a WordPress blog. “Even a monkey can do this”, I thought, which made me realize why Michael might have chosen me to test the beta copy in the first place ;-)

Here’s just a sliver of what I found useful in WordPress SEO Secrets:

Rankings improved within two weeks

My Results: After testing the methods found in WordPress SEO Secrets on my own blog, I started ranking on page 1 of Google for one of my keywords – within two weeks:

During coaching calls, I shared these results with my clients and told them how to tweak their own blog. Naturally they asked about the course, which goes on sale today. Yay for you!
