So awesome to meet Mama Lucy (even via UStream) and hear her stories directly. So often is aid sent with the trust and hope that it makes it to the right people, never quite knowing who is receiving that help. It's fantastic for the opportunity to really know through social media and videos and photos exactly who is on the other end of this support and just how far it goes. I especially commend Epic Change on their approach of empowering Mama Lucy and the children of Shepherd Jr school, as well, building an sustainable means to improve their own lives and grow their community.
