How to unsubscribe from my email list

Unsubscribe

I use Aweber for my email marketing service because they make it very easy for people to unsubscribe. Literally one mouse click (see image below).

You might think I’m completely batty for telling you how easy it is to unsubscribe – even going so far as showing you how to do it (see image below).

But here’s the thing: You and I both value one thing above all else in our lives: Our time.

I choose to spent mine writing posts I hope someone can use. And you either spend yours reading them (for which I am terribly grateful), or deleting them each week.

It’s not your responsibility

Now if you are deleting the emails, that’s fine. I really don’t take it personally.

But please unsubscribe. The time you spend deleting them will never be returned to you.

Plus, the onus is on me to make subscribing a no-brainer (I even go the extra mile to publish bonus content for my subscribers).

I liked your post so much I'm going to unsubscribe and then subscribe again!
  • Thanks!
  • Very smart, great header, caught my interest, well done!
    Cheers

  • Because you use Aweber, you also have to pay for your subscribers.

Teaching people that no longer care about your content to unsubscribe saves them the headache, and you the money. Smart move on your part. :)
  • Thanks Josh!
  • Yep, you are batty.
  • Flattery will get you nowhere.
