Social Media Credits And Debits

On Monday, I asked you for feedback on a presentation I gave in Boston to the American Burn Association. The presentation went very well (thank you!), and was followed by a lively discussion about using social media to help prevent burns (check out http://igot2kno.org/).

Sally recommended that I add a a picture of a balancing scale or bank to communicate the idea of social capital. She wrote: “Stephen Covey speaks to the concept of Emotional Bank Deposits — and how critical it is to make lots of them before asking for, or expecting, withdrawals”.

Here’s what I came up with:

I think the style of the bank is a little bit off putting. It reminds me very much of a bank heist style bank. However, the wording is spot on!

The wording is good, the image looks a little like an outhouse which I don't think is the picture you would like people to take away with them.

It does say “Bank” in big letters though…

Love the phrase, spot on. Personally I like the image as well, but may 'spice' it up a bit with a catchy facial expression, or somebody holding a big bag of 'Social Media FD Return' or some sort. Memorable. :) Just an idea.
