How to use the new Facebook Page set-up wizard (video)

Facebook recently launched a “Get Started” wizard in an effort to shorten the learning curve for new Facebook Page admins.

This short video walks you through each step in the wizard:

  1. Upload a main image
  2. Enter basic info about your nonprofit
  3. Post a status update
  4. Set up your mobile phone
  5. Connect your Page to Twitter (a sign that Facebook wants to play nice with Twitter)
  6. How your Page appears to visitors

If your curious how to get rid of the “Get Started” tab, apparently it disappears as you acquire fans and complete your Page.

Our organization currently has a page with our logo but we want a larger profile picture. We tried to upload an image but it keeps saying to make it square. Help!

BTW, Thanks for the good webinar this afternoon!

Make sure the image is 200 pixels wide by 600 pixels high. Best if you can get a friend who's a graphic designer to help you out.

The Get Started tab is a major pain in the ass. There should be a Manual Remove option, as opposed to you having to jump through hoops that Facebook decide is best for your business.

    Nice video though. :)
