#GivingTuesday represents the best of people. It signals a growing (and much-needed) shift towards helping others, instead of trampling over our friends and relatives at Wal-Mart on Black Friday.
The other exciting thing about #GivingTuesday is that it’s becoming a way for nonprofits to develop their fundraising and marketing chops.
So what were the Giving Tuesday results for 2014?
The Case Foundation published a beautiful infographic (below) highlighting 2014 Giving Tuesday results from Blackboard, Donor Perfect, GlobalGiving, Network for Good and Razoo:
- Almost $46 million raised, which is 63% more than what was raised in 2013.
- Over 15,000 nonprofits from 68 countries participated.
- In 2012, the first #GivingTuesday was launched with only 2,500 nonprofits.
