How Tyson Foods and Share Our Strength fight childhood hunger together

This past Monday I spoke at Share Our Strength‘s annual leadership conference in Washington, D.C.

When Jeff Weidner (@ShareStrength) originally invited me to present, he urged me to attend “Service Day”, where all attendees spend a few hours volunteering at food banks, shelters and local farms. I knew that by attending Service Day, I’d understand more about Share Our Strength than reading their big fat annual report (thankfully, Jeff didn’t require that of me).

After making friends with folks like Ed Nicholson (in the video below) and seeing how hard Share Our Strength has worked for 25 years, I saw that ending childhood hunger by 2015 is not a just dream, but an attainable goal.
